Chaz Chiazo Ogbu, a multi-talented force of nature, seamlessly transitions between two worlds. By day, he’s an Assistant General Manager to one of District of Columbia’s upscale fine-dining restaurants and by night, an event-hosting virtuoso. Prior to this, Chaz was a Senior Reimbursement Counselor at one of the world’s pharmaceutical giants, AstraZeneca and AmerisourceBergen. Hailing from the vibrant tapestry of Maryland, USA, with roots tracing back to the heart of Imo State, Nigeria, Chaz has captivated audiences with his electrifying hosting prowess since 2002.
While pursuing a Microbiology degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State, Chaz embarked on his journey as a host, laying the foundation for his meteoric rise. Driven by an unyielding hunger for success, he knew it was time to set his sights on grander horizons. In 2007, Chaz made a bold move to the United States, where he embraced his dual identity as a proud Nigerian American. The annals of his story are still being penned. Chaz earned a degree in Business Administration and currently pursuing his MBA at the prestigious University of Maryland.
No longer can Mr. Ogbu be simply referred to as “Chaz.” He has etched his name indelibly in the annals of the African entertainment diaspora. Whether orchestrating the symphony of weddings or anniversaries, Emcee Chaz takes it upon himself to craft unforgettable memories for every event he touches.
